•Description : The technical tour of the Mutriku Wave Power Plant will offer participants an insight into this wave energy facility, the first of its kind in Europe. The plant will celebrate its 5th year of continuous operation in the summer of 2016. It uses the Oscillating Water Column (OWC) technology and it comprises 16 such columns, each one connected to a turbine with a nominal power output of 18.5 kW

Infrastructure of the port of Bayonne

• Visitors maximum : 20 visitors max

• Description : 60min of an almost private tour on board the ‘Lesbordes’. Discover the logistic facilities of the regional Port of Bayonne; its 21 berths (2.5km dock length), its platforms linked to rail and road; its unique large sea wall (1km offshore) and its adequate services (piloting, mooring, towing and dredging). Find out more on the wave power development zones pre-qualified nearshore within the immediate proximity of the Port, where operation and maintenance are facilitated and close access to a wide market is ensured. Thanks to is phsycochemical an mechanical properties composites enable to lighten the structures and guarantee long term durability in agressive environment. Compositadour is a Technological Center, specializing in composites and robotics processes. Compositadour provides state-of-the-art industrial means and has a comprehensive network of skills, experts and researchers to develop innovative projects for reneweable energy industry

The Biarritz’casino Sea-Water Air Conditioning

• Time appointment : 8: 00 – 9:00 – 10:00 (duration of the visit : 45 minutes)
• Visitors maximum : 18 (3x6)

• Description : PPT presentation (15 min.): seawater pumping systems. Refrigeration unit, operation of energy facilities, heat pump and free cooling with marine water.

12:00 General presentation of SEENEOH test site, visit of VALEMO remote control center, lunch (120 minutes)
14:00 transportation by bus from Bègles to SEENEOH Test site (30 minutes)
14:30 SEENEOH site presentation, Electrical sub-Station visit and « Mise en tension » (45 minutes)
